Kentucky Church Services Defying Social-Distancing EO

Most churches are doing podcasts and/or Zoom services for communion.

Some Lexington churches will have drive-thru communion services, but Louisville's mayor has said no to these. Kentucky's AG, Daniel Cameron, has allowed them from a state perspective, stating they are within state guidelines.

Governor Beshear has not commented on drive-thru services.

However, unfortunately, there are some Kentucky churches who are defying state social-distancing protection orders to attend group church services.

This puts the governor in a no-win situation - turn a blind eye to them, though this will most assuredly increase infections, or do something about it for their own/others' safety.

Thus, he has stated that they can attend, but later, public officials will show up at their door  with a court order to mandate them in home quarantine for 14 days.

Sometimes, too much about paranoia about the government infringing upon just your civil liberties will result in self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'm hoping that people will changes minds or that nothing serious will come of it, but seriously, people - regardless of whether you feel they are going too far or not, they really are just trying to protect you and others from harm - which is what we pay them to do.
