Remember Medina Spirit, the horse that tested positive for an illegal drug before winning the Kentucky Derby, which resulted in a suspension and fine for Bob Baffert - to which Baffert responded with lawsuits, claiming he'd been falsely accused and "cancel cultured" - and Trump tweeted his support (before being banned from Twitter," stating all the naysayers were calling the horse a "junkie" (though literally no one was, nor saying anything negative about the actual horse), calling it "fake news?"
He just collapsed and died after a workout :(
He was still racing; in fact, he had just won the Breeder's Cup Classic at Santa Anita in October 2021.
This isn't the first time this has happened with a Baffert trained horse - it's happened many times, as I've posted about many times before, long before the 2021 Kentucky Derby - too many horses have died in his care, particularly when stabled at Santa Anita - this has just been the most high profile horse to die under his care yet.
The number of horse deaths under Baffert is not normal, Ladies and Gentlemen, but this has become a pattern with Baffert - a very sad one - which took far too long to come to light :(
Poor, sweet, innocent baby colt - none of this mess was your fault - I'm so sorry :(
