PS x 2 - Clarification

 

Like I said, I'm working through some stuff, forgive me if not your thing.

Having said that, in the post below, I mentioned the threat Kim issued in 2012, just 2 weeks before my daughter's graduation, without going in to detail. 

I realized this may be a surprise to some, forgetting that only myself, Mark, Kim, and Mom know about it.

So as mentioned, I signed off on my grandmother's estate to prove I wasn't after money.

I moved out of my grandmother's house after my sister threated calling the sheriff, fearing I'd change my mind and claim "squatter's rights" later. 

After that, I didn't hear a peep directly from Kim, with the exception of dropping off a box of leftover things at my grandmother's house - , but strangely, not include any of the things I wanted to keep for my daughter, like my old formal dresses, or any of my daughter's childhood books or toys I'd left in such a hurry after her threat.

Other than that, never a peep directly to me again - other than through my daughter's mouth.

Now - what I didn't mention is though I signed off on the estate, my grandmother INSISTED special provision be mentioned in the will for her old 1993 Lumina to be left to me because I didn't have a car  to move out or get to work.

(She also left her diamond rings to me, but I didn't take them. My sister couldn't find them one day and accused me of taking them, but then she found them - my grandmother had hidden them because hospice people were coming in and out of the house. I don't know what happened to them after that)

So I did take that 15-year-old car so I could drive to Northern Kentucky and work, as my grandmother insisted.

After that, not a peep from Kim - until 2012.

Then in 2012, my mom called me, saying that Kim said if I didn't help her pay taxes on the estate - the same estate I signed off on - I could go to jail. 

My mom was super scared and upset by this and really believed her.

She said Kim was sending me the paperwork and I better bring it with me to McKenna's graduation, because Kim would have the police with her.

Then the trauma reaction I mentioned in the post below.

Then Mark called his Michigan attorney, who said:

"Okay, so the old 1993 beat-up Lumina was the only thing  left to Chrystal under special provision by her grandmother, despite Chrystal signing herself out of the will.  Has she paid yearly taxes on that old car? Yes - and she junked it in 2009 for $200 with title transfer proof - so she's fine there."

"So she was not a primary beneficiary of the will, she signed off on it, and the car was a secondary beneficiary gift? Then she's fine - she's is NOT responsible for paying the estate taxes." 

"Even if she WAS a primary was, NOBODY is going to jail, it's a civil matter! LOL!" 

"Now, I don't know either of them - but none of what the sister is threatening is even legally possible, so it sounds to me like this sister is trying to bully the same sister she bullied into signing off all rights to the estate into helping her pay estate taxes."  

"But here's the thing -  how long ago did this happen?  2007.  So the sister has had to to pay taxes on it every year  - so why now? What's going on now that she's just now making threats again?"

Here's the answer to that - my daughter was graduating in 2 weeks - and she was trying to bully me out of attending, so she could hide yet another threat she'd made and twist it again to make it look like I  was abandoning her and didn't care.

So I called my mom and said:

"Um, as I suspected, Mark's attorney says there's no way this is even possible,  and no one is going to jail, this is a civil matter - so yes, PLEASE tell her to send me whatever falsified BS she's drawn up herself, so that I can take it to Mark's attorney to review." 

"Oh,  and by the way?

"I WILL be at my daughter's graduation. 🙂"

My mom muttered some stuff about not knowing, Kim must've just misunderstood and confused, she's taking care of so much ...

And then I just hung up, I admit it lol.

And of course, nothing came in the mail, no police at my daughter's graduation, everything was fine.

And I actually suspect she's done way worse, out of desperation to  keep lies going, to convince my daughter and other family members of some stuff, but I have no proof of that, other than those 2 incidents I've mentioned.
