Just saw this - erm - recasting of Weekend at Bernie's
πππ
For those of you who've never seen this movie, it's where two idiots cart around a dead man to pretend he's still alive for his benefit and their own.
So ... I feel guilty laughing, but then I also don't.
Because ???
Okay, so he's not dead - but what the heck IS going on with his health?
Governor Beshear has just requested more transparency regarding his health and fitness for office, and many commenters - including Andy-haters - agreed with him on this one.
Some commenters proposed an age limit, but that's not really fair, some people in their 90s that I know are way sharper than I ever thought of being - but perhaps there should be more transparency about health issues in elected offices?
But then I also agree with the comment that people in politics who stood idly by, while water fountains were racially segregated, shouldn't be allowed/considered fit for office π
Also, perhaps you have seen the memes that resulted after CNN correspondent (from Kentucky), Scott Jennings, claimed to speak to Senator McConnell via phone on social media?
We prefer the follow-ups the rest of the best of the internet came up with ...
True.
We, the people of Kentucky on either political side, are bored senseless by Scott Jennings, to the point of falling asleep, and can't for the life of us figure out why anyone at all thought he was interesting enough to get where he is on CNN, nor why he's still there instead of Faux News - erm - I mean, Fox News.
Perhaps even Fox News rejected him because THEY fell asleep when he spoke π
