Dr. Liggins' Email to FCPS Chair Tyler Murphy. (Umm - Sure Sounds LIke a Resignation Letter to Me, Too?)

Briefly, FCPS school board announced to the press at 8 p.m. last night that Dr. Liggins had resigned.

However, Dr. Liggins contacted the press and said he did NOT resign - he merely asked about his options regarding a separation agreement.

The paper just published the email that led the school board to believe he was resigning (see below - I had to publish the article in 3 separate screen shots because it is long, but nothing has been omitted.)

Note the areas I highlighted in yellow, which would make me -  or anyone - believe this was a resignation letter. 

But it's not a resignation letter, no! 😂

It's "pursuing separation agreement options."

Dude - if that were true, then all you had to say was "I'd like to explore my options for a separation agreement, please?" 

But you didn't.

Intead, you used language several times indicating you were  "stepping away" and "leaving" and wanted to work out the details of still receiving your same pay for the next year anyway!

This guy kills me.

See why this guy embarrasses me as a fellow lib Dem with his double-speak and hair-splitting semantics so you can't hold him accountable - AND - so that he can still get another year of his nearly  $300K a salary for up to a year after he leaves?

Which no one can believe he even has the audacity to even ask for, considering the budget collapsed under his watch, 6 years in, the school district is now bankrupt, and he just fired almost 200 low-level employees to try to rescue it, which failed to save it anyway - and they are now operating on a rescue loan.

There's no money left to pay him that one year after he leaves PLUS a new superintendent!

We initially supported him and thought the backlash was pure racism and bigotry.

That is, until we were shown undeniable proof of his shady ways - he's essentially the black Lib/Dem version of Trump.

That has actually been one of my biggest fears, after normalizing Trump's corruption, fraud and cronyism -  that some narcissist will  do the same on OUR side of politics to gain power on OUR side, - and I just watched that play out in front of my eyes locally!

At this point, I wish he'd just drive away in his expensive, custom decked-out Hummer -  from his custom specially-heated parking space paid for by our taxes and school budget (so he wouldn't have to deal with ice and snow) - and move the hell on.

PS - Very few people even know about his custom-made, specially heated parking lot space yet, paid for on the sly with a vague label on the school budget. 

They probably still won't until after he leaves because very few read here.

I thought it was time to spill that little detail we know.

And when they do, hoping that people will understand more about why even Dems had a problem with Liggins.

But then people will still believe what they want to believe.
