And yet no one told us, we weren't prepared. Of course, I didn't expect Kentucky to do well, but that was just embarrassing, it looked like a high school game! I had to look away!

Matter of fact, I'm not even putting up a picture here of it, it was a disaster!

Well, there's a $22 million-dollar roster down the drain - they may be superstars, but if they can't play together, it's worthless.

People texting us like "Bring Pitino back! Bring Pitino back!" 😂

Hate to tell you all this, but Pitino's probably not coming back, he's doing too well at St. John's, beating the legacy powerhouse that is Kansas to make it in the Sweet Sixteen. (Good, I dislike Kansas almost as much as I dislike Duke 😂) 

Pitino taking those extra timeouts at the end, right before the winning shot, for a trick/confusion setup to throw them off - genius, right? That's why Pitino is the master!

That was a GREAT game, fun to watch!

Meanwhile, back at the Kentucky ranch, they're calling for Coach Pope's head on a platter. They take basketball very seriously here. 

Should I remind them that if Pitino had one bad game, back in the day, they called for his head, too? Nah. 

But Coach Pope truly is no Pitino. And what's also clear is there's no love between Pope and the players, either, they clearly aren't fond of him, and that's important. I don't know if we've ever had a team where the team doesn't like the coach.

Players almost always love Pitino, wherever he goes.

And what about Iowa beating another legacy Florida, what the heck?

(And though I was rooting for Florida - 2 of my bros-in-law went there - that was another fun game to watch.)

Well, that's why they call it March Madness, anything can happen.

Other than that, the only team of people I know that hot in the Sweet 16 is my husband's beloved MSU, who will play UConn.

Duke got in, of course. Grrr. 

I can't find the commercial online yet, but a commercial aired here for the UK Federal Credit Union,  where the girl is like "Banking, for ALL y'all" which is Kentucky thing - but at the end, in print, it says "Banking for All Y'all" but written as a red parenthetical, it says "(Except Christian Laettner)!"

I laughed for like 10 minutes!

For those who don't know, this refers to the infamous Duke-Kentucky 1992 tournament game, where Laettner threw a sort of Hail Mary shot from nearly half court at the buzzer during overtime - and made it - keeping us out of the Elite 8 - which is always on the Top 10 sports moments of all time lists ...

BTW, I was a student at UK at that time, waiting tables.

Christian Laettner still owes me about $300 for tips lost that not while waiting tables during the game. 😂

People forgot/didn't tip, were literally crying in their beers. I think I made about $20, though people brought big groups and camped out at their tables for hours and ran up huge tabs of nearly $800 bucks in some cases.

Okay, I get it - but it wasn't MY fault!  😂

Matter of fact, I'm charging interest. I'm calling my financial-wiz bro-in-law to tell me what to charge Laettner now with interest! 😉 😂

Wait, never mind, he's probably still mad about the Florida loss!
