PS - When You Attack John Fetterman for His TEMPORARY Speech Difficulties ...

... due to a stroke, you only prove my point in the post below, because Christ would never do such a thing (and I daresay anyone with Christ truly in their heart would ever do such a thing).

His cognitive ability is deemed absolutely normal, he just has a TEMPORARY speech impairment as the result of a stroke.

When I hear and read stuff making fun of John Fetterman's temporary speech troubles, it's hard not to take that personally.

Because my husband had a stroke in 2017 affecting his speech, and he has completely recovered.

But wouldn't you know, it was only white Trumpers at work that made fun of him?

Not good-natured teasing - mean-spirited mocking that bordered on bullying -  stuff like, "Duh, I'm Mark."

Mind you, my husband has a Master's degree versus these idiots, and his cognition was still intact - just his language function, his speech and writing, were TEMPORARILY disrupted, until his brain found a new pathway to those functions.

FYI -  Winston Churchill suffered a stroke in office and was deemed fit for office for another two years, as did Woodrow Wilson, and it was his second stroke (his first in 1906 robbed him of his left eyesight, long before his presidency) - and no one batted an eye as long as they were deemed cognitively intact.

Also, FDR spent the latter term of his presidency in a wheelchair from polio, fighting the greatest threat in modern history from there, the Nazis.

What you may see as a less than perfect  "bumbling idiot," I see as a  resilient fighter, committed to causes he believes in to the end, willing to lay down his life for his flock  - a true shepherd who cares for his flock versus a "hired hand" like Oz -  or an even better example of a "hired hand," Trump (see post below) - who clearly doesn't truly care for the welfare of the flock, they just want power and control over them.

Because again, inside, Fetterman is cognitively intact, fighting to get his body and speech to return to normal.

If my husband's brain was able to find a new pathway to restore these functions, then I'm sure John can too :)

Perhaps that's the difference between us?

IMO, most Trumpers appear to be focused on how things  appear to them on the surface in snap judgment, they accept at face value the mirage of things (especially if the mirage is presented by someone sharing their politics) -  whereas we tend to look deeper for further explanations of behavior, on both sides of politics.

With some people, like Trump, we scratch the surface and go "Ewwwww" - whereas with most other people, we scratch the surface and though we may see flaws, we also see the good, as people are a mix of both - and if the good outweighs the bad, then we're good :).

Also, as my husband has said, "The man has had a stroke and struggles with speech, and yet he still makes more sense than Oz and Trump."

Amen lol.

When you make fun of people with disabilities, temporary or not, who aren't perfect or don't pretend to be perfect, there's nothing "Christian" about that - and you only prove how Nazi-like and truly deplorable you've become.

In fact, of all the disgusting things that Trump has said and done, in my mind, the absolute worst is the time he physically mocked the congenital joint disease of a disabled, wheelchair-bound Washington Post reporter, Serge Kovaleski ...

And no - I do NOT buy his "excuse" that he'd never met the guy and was simply making fun of what he interpreted as backtracking his statement.

Why?

Because what's with the contorted face and limbs and the flaccid arm-flailing, then?

Why would you include those things if just mocking someone over your perception that they "backtracked" on a statement?

You know you wouldn't ;)

Take a step back and take a look closely at that, my fellow Christians - you know that's wrong - and it tells you a lot about Trump's character (or the lack thereof),

You also know it's something that Christ, nor anyone with Christ truly in their heart, would EVER do.

(In fact, he would call out those doing so as bullies, like he did the Pharisees and might actually prefer him to the power-abusing, greedy Pharisees in power.)

And I don't even want to hear that it was "just a poor moment" because doing so would never even occur to most people, and IMO, this one moment sealed the deal on defining the poor character and bullying nature of the man.

Perhaps that's why Oprah supported him versus Dr. Oz, though she helped build Oz - perhaps she has learned her lesson about vetting people better? lol

I wish some of you Trumpers could step back and take a look at yourselves as well as Trump - how truly angry, paranoid, actually inhumane you've become - and what makes it even more disgusting is that you're trying to justify these things in Christ's name, in vain - it literally hurts my soul to watch, hear, or read.

On that note, my husband and I are off to Lake Cumberland again for the evening to immerse ourselves in nature before the coming onslaught with the election :)
