I realize that everyone has made their choice, by now, but just some last minute things to think about, before you vote.
As IF saying that people like Liz Cheney and press should be shot in face wasn't enough, or the multitude of ways that Trump Republicans are already trying to cheat before the election - again - have you ever thought about the confusing, contradictory messages that your stances are sending children or other countries?
I'm going to make two lists - one for Trump Republicans in general, and a second Trump Republicans who also claim to be my fellow Christians:
1) Having an authoritative big government is bad - unless it's to fund whatever Trump and Republicans want to do.
2) Taxes are bad - unless it's funding whatever Trump and Republicans want to do, the tax dollars of course coming from the middle class and working poor, rather than corporations or the wealthiest 1%.
3) All police are good - unless they're Capitol Police, protecting the Capitol on January 6th, 2021.
4) People that commit acts of violence to overthrow our government are terrorists - unless they're a Trump support er - then they're "patriots."
5) People that stalk and shoot protestors are patriots - unless the protestors are Trump supporters.
6) Military-grade, semi-automatic rifles that shoot 15 rounds per second are necessary for hunting and everyday life for home protection - despite two attempts on Trump's life using them, as well as a record increase in mass shootings, including school shootings.
7) Immigrants with dark skin, legal or not, are criminals and rapists - unless a woman claims rape, sexual assault, or sexual harassment by a white man - then it's her own fault and/or she's lying to get attention or money.
8) If a woman is raped by anyone, she must still legally have the child anyway, in several states -- BUT -- if a woman and her husband are trying to pregnant, but having difficulty, they may not fertilize her eggs with his sperm outside of the uterus.
9) Given all of the above, our society considers the free will and right for women to choose has less value, and is more dangerous, than the free will and right for a civilian to own an AR-15?
10) Teaching history that mentions race or socioeconomics equity, or even read books on the subject privately, is bad - teaching history that ignores a shameful, recent racial history in this country or racial contributions to innovation, rather than crediting their white "owners" and canonizing all white people into sainthood is good.
11) There's no difference between teaching acceptance of others different from ourselves and teaching/forcing others to BE different.
12) It's okay to bully, verbally or physically abuse, or even threaten people if they disagree with you, criticize you or you consider them inferior.
13) Selling products as POTUS for your own glory, grifting people out of money by overcharging for cheap products made in China with your name on it - even bibles - is okay, but only if you're a Republican.
14) It's okay to create fake electors to pretend to be real electoral college delegates the night of an election to try to ensure a win, then later claim the election was stolen when the plan fails, if you're a Republican.
15) It's okay to encourage a violent riot of the Capitol building by your supporters if you didn't win an election - if you're a Republican.
16) We need more law, order, and justice - unless it's Trump or a Republican
Confusing messages Christian Trump Supporters might need to check their bible on ...
1) Jesus instructed us to show mercy and forgive - but only if you're white, Christian Republicans.
2) Jesus meant that mercy and forgiveness really means turning a blind eye to other Christians in wrongdoing and there should be no consequences, despite lack of remorse.
3) Jesus would be proud of us for standing up for our own rights versus others who have less.
4) Jesus instructed us to speak to abuse of power and a voice for the vulnerable and marginalized in society, but only if those in power are Democrats.
5) Jesus would support your idolatry of Trump.
7) Jesus would support your gun ownership or violence as a resolution to any conflict.
8) Jesus would support shooting others out of your own fear, calling it "self-defense."
9) Jesus loves white Christians above everybody else and would support you considering yourself superior and more important to him than immigrants, people of color, LGBTQ, Muslims, or even Jewish people.
10) Jesus would support anyone who appealed to your greed, fear, hatred, and violence - based on his own lies - to motivate people to support himself.
11) Jesus would support the idea that this country's laws and teachings should be based solely on evangelical Christian values.
I guess it doesn't matter that Jesus didn't say any of that, and in fact, said the opposite - or that he gave us free will and the right to choose, and that forcing people to follow just your version of Christianity negates free will?
Trump is a thief in the temple and you know it - you just won't admit it because he appeals to your own greed, selfishness, and fear.
Just some things to think about.
