Late yesterday afternoon, we decided if we could find a last-minute weekend getaway at a Kentucky State Park we'd never been to, because we've decided before Mark retires and we move away, to visit all of the Kentucky state parks before we go :)
The state park lodges and cabins are very reasonably priced and allow pets, so although they may not be luxurious, they're always in a great locale and scenic, always very clean.
Most places were booked, but we were able to snatch one room left at State Park Lodge in Eastern Kentucky.
Initially a foggy morning, but a sunny, but cool, mountain morning :)
Ahhh, just what we needed to recharge :)
I'll reveal which state park and more upon later ... ;)
