Ziggy Vs. "Fido" (From Fisher Price's Little People), When He's Sleeping?

Mark and I have decided that Ziggy looks like the Fisher Price Little People dog, "Fido," from the 1970s, right? Happy little face :)

For those unfamiliar with Fisher Price Little People, they've been around for about 50 years, coming out when I was about 4.

The very first sets were wooden, like this ...

Note that everyone has no shape except for mom and grandma (or teacher?), who are curvy  ... which is, ya know ... weird?  LOL

And what's with the red-capped kid next to her with a shitty look on his face.  Poor kid is destined to be the troublemaker with a face like that!

I think that was just the first year or two, they were wooden, then they very quickly went plastic - most famously the Sesame Street version in 1974, which I didn't have, but some friends did, BIG Christmas hit ...

(By the way, both girls and boys played with these.  They not only had houses and playgrounds, but barns and tower car parking garages and racetracks, and later they were astronauts lol

By the mid-to-late 1980s, they were of course fully plastic, and had a bit more detail ...

When my daughter was little, by the 90s. they'd gone chunky, regardless of male or female, dog or cat  ...

Until they revamped them again by the mid-to-late 90s to now have arm - still molded to the body, but they finally did, and now, we have the little people today ...

Go Little People with your ... tiny arms ... finally, after 50 years! LOL
